The Military Authority in this Country objects to give the price demanded for these Remounts. The despatch communicating this decision was sent on the 10th of August. If Government could comment for the "Use Kay" and so "prevent Messrs. Jameson from selling the property"? It looks as if they had only a qualified property subject to right of resumption. If you cannot answer this question, perhaps the Law Officers can give their opinion on this minute. I have shown their proposal to Sir Murdoch.
